Today is Monday.
So after the drunkenness on Thursday. There was more drunkenness on Friday. We went to the Hard Rock cafe and got beers and burgers. On the way back I picked up this apple stuff. Like 30 proof for only 20 DK (3.33 USD). It was quite the steal. I figured it was the equivalent of a bit more than 4 half liter beers which are usually 40 DK a piece. That was finished at the hotel in an hour. On the way to Tivoli 2 more 33 cl beers were consumed on the street. It's pretty weird drinking on the street. Tivoli was fun. We saw this guy we later found out to be named David Sommer perform. Apparently he's some up and comer. He was good even though I couldn't understand the lyrics because they were in Danish. The ending guitar solo was like 5 minutes and was pretty kick ass.
After that we went back to the Hard Rock because they had another happy hour from midnight to 1 am. 3 more 50 cl beers were chugged before I had to stop before my stomach was simply too full.
It was strange, but when we told Anne Mette, our prof, about the concert she somehow knew who the guy was even though all we could tell her was that he was an up and comer and that he wore a hat. I found that odd. That one of his distinctive qualities was his ability to wear a hat.
On another note, Saturday was spent in Lund and Malmo which are in Sweden. We took the train which travels under the water for a bit and then onto a man made island and over the first bridge to span the Baltic. Lund was great. It had a beautiful university. Everything was just real chill. We got a walking tour of the city which was fantastic. Malmo was nice too. We didn't have much time there, but I managed to pick up a Sweden tshirt. I'll for sure be rockin it here in Copenhagen (I have yet to purchase a Denmark tshirt).
For the evening we did a little more drinking. I got a Mega which is 75 cl at Tivoli, and then we went to the Hard Rock for happy hour again at midnight. That was the second time John got drunk ever. I am now the master of getting him drunk and have claimed my spot as drinking buddy. While him, Cat, and Noel all got drunk I stayed on the border of buzzing and drunken. It was a nice feeling. The night was ended with some chillin at the hotel along with eating of chippies and gummies.
Sunday was an extreme chill day. I woke up at 10 to eat breakfast and immediately went back to bed until 1230. I worked on some homework and parked it for some relaxing book reading and laying in the sun. After meeting up with the roomie we headed back to the park for some fun book reading, text book reading, and basking the sun.
I wore my last clean pair of underwear yesterday. I was getting desperate. We borrowed Noel's detergent and washed underwear in the sink. It was not fun, but now the undies are clean. Drying underwear is currently strewn about the room. It was definitely better than going commando or inside outties.
It's raining today. BAH!
