Proper Urinal Etiquette
So I was reading a post of mine from a long time ago. It was about this weird event that occurred in Genetics. The end of the post jogged my memory about proper urinal etiquette. I don't want to practice my introduction speech for business communications so I'm going to write about this instead. Here goes.
1) If nobody is occupying a urinal go directly to the end.
2) If somebody is at one end, go directly to the other end.
It is generally better if there is an odd number of urinals with 5 being the ideal number such that 3 people standing at positions 1, 3, and 5 can go while having a buffer urinal between each of them. This being said, do not ever go to positions 2 or 4 if nobody is there. Always fill the odd positions before being forced into and even position.
Seriously, it's totally weird if when one person is standing at position 1 and somebody goes to position 2 leaving all other positions empty. It'd be like the scene from Ace Ventura. Somebody just might get hit.
In addition, there seems to be this affinity for the big urinals. You know what I mean. There is always one kiddy pisser in each restroom made for the kiddies or midgets. I believe that there is this inner need to feel big that causes guys to avoid the kiddy urinal. I think that it is some sort of an ego diminisher to have to go in the kiddy urinal. Some people believe that they will pee into the top ridge causing crazy back splash. That would only happen if you were super biggie or were sporting wood.
I believe that there are benefits to the kiddy pisser. A problem with urinals has always been backsplash. With the regular size ones, the stream of pee hits the porcelain at a much higher angle which would potentially cause greater backsplash. It usually ranges anywhere from almost 90 to 45 degrees. With the kiddy urinal, the bottom is so much lower that the stream hits the porcelain at an angle less than 45 degrees. This fact allows the urine to travel a less disturbed path leading to diminished backsplash.
In conclusion the kiddy urinal is a good thing. The trough is by far the worst!
Tomorrow we are going to Legends for wingies and mugs to celebrate the birthday of Stonehandsio. Yeah yeah!

Amazing concise post...this coming from someone in high school where I see this "etiquette" everyday.
All I can say is this, great observations, and very true!
